LIVE: Booze N Books - November Edition

Updated: Nov 5, 2018

"Hi. Didn't see you there."

Thanks for those who have been following along to my Booze and Books book club. If you haven't yet, don't worry, you can pick it up at any time.

For September we did Dead Poets Society + Scotch.

From there, we moved into October which brought us Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis + Jack Daniels. I will have a more comprehensive recap of October's read in the form of a quick blog and video, but for now, I wanted to just get out to you what we're up to this month.

This next read is a great one and I think you're really going to enjoy it if you have yet to dive into this book.

It's Tuesday with Morrie by Mitch Albom:

You can BUY THE BOOK HERE. Do it already.

For the "booze" portion, I wanted to select a nice full-bodied wine that you could indulge in while you read so I selected Wayne Gretzky's cab-merlot blend:

You can find this in your local LCBO / liquor store.

I also selected this wine for a couple reasons: 1) Wayne seems like a great guy to sit and reflect about life with (an overall theme in Tuesdays with Morrie) and 2) we have a new member Kiel Edge this month and he's a "Gretters Fanatic".

Get reading and follow along below in the comment thread.

I loved this book! Great writing and you find yourself growing more attached to Morrie with each chapter. Not gonna lie, I shed more than one tear while reading it. And I liked the Wayne Gretzky Cab-Merlot so much, I also tried his Chardonnay as well. Thanks for providing great books to read Ty. Looking forward to December's edition!

Sorry for the silence over here gang. November is almost coming to a end and I finished up Tuesday's with Morrie on my vacation a last week. What an amazing read and I will have a breakdown of everything soon.

I will also be dipping into Wayne Gretzky wine here soon as well. How do you feel about Morrie? Are you laughing? Crying? Reflecting on life? Worrying about getting old?

Talk to me!

Ty

I always forget how great this read is. I credit my wife, Christina for opening the door to Morrie's life. Such an amazing read!

Hey gang - I'm already knee-deep into this read. It's SUCH a good book. I should cruise through this one and will then crack my "Gretters" wine to reflect. Where you all at?
